Minor injuries units (MIUs) are a faster alternative to A&E departments for minor injuries. There are now three MIUs in the NHS Suffolk region, in Felixstowe, Ipswich and Haverhill - all three opening seven days a week, including public holidays.
No appointment is necessary, and most patients are seen within an hour. Your GP surgery also offers a minor injury service during opening hours.

From A14: Take 1st exit from roundabout along Grove Road (A1021). Take 4th exit at roundabout along Beatrice Avenue.Go straight over roundabout and continue along Hamilton Road, following signs to Hospitals. Bear left and continue along Hamilton Road, turning left into Cobbold Road at the Tesco metro store. Continue along Cobbold Road take second turning on the left into Constable Road. The Felixstowe Community Hospital is on the left hand side.
Riverside Clinic, Ipswich
From A12 & A14: Follow signs to Felixstowe A14. Take ‘Nacton’ turn off - follow signs to Town Centre. Follow Nacton Rd to mini roundabout and turn LEFT onto Landseer Rd. continue along Landseer Rd and go STRAIGHT AHEAD at the traffic light junction with Clapgate Lane. Follow the road down a hill and up a hill for approx. one mile. As you pass over the brow, look for the Vopak Oil Terminal followed by an electricity sub station on the left. Riverside Clinic is just beyond it, on the left, opposite Cliff Lane. From Town Centre: Follow signs to Felixstowe (A14) and Suffolk University College. Pass College on left down Grimwade Street and then turn LEFT on Fore Street. At roundabout turn RIGHT (Duke St). STRAIGHT OVER next roundabout (Holywells Rd). Immediately past turning on the right, Toller Rd, is Riverside Clinic also on the right, opposite Cliff Lane and the Rivers Social Club. Bus Route: 1, 3 & 6 from Tower Ramparts, Ipswich Town Centre, via: Crown St, High St, Museum St, Friars St, Dogs Head St, Tacket St, Orwell Pl, Fore St, Star Lane, Grimwade St, Fore St, Duke St, Holywells Rd.
