NHS Suffolk Low Priority Procedure Policy Update May 2012 Consultation
This website is intended primarily for GPs and other health professionals working in Suffolk.
Suffolk Clinical Priorities Group (CPG) at NHS Suffolk has developed a list of low priority procedure policies, which cover partially excluded procedures and procedures where a threshold applies. These policies are reviewed on a 2 yearly basis and updated, where necessary, in line with new clinical evidence. These policies determine the circumstances in which certain procedures are commissioned by NHS Suffolk.
A number of polices have been updated, including major revision to two policies. A period of consultation will take place to give the opportunity to provide input in revising these policies. A summary of the policies which have been updated is presented below, with accompanying documentation and a feedback form for each policy.
We are consulting with hospital clinicians, Suffolk GPs, Community Reference Group representatives, Clinical Commissioning Groups, Local Medical Committee and Health Care managers.
We are keen for feedback from local GPs and colleagues with an interest in the topic. Please return your feedback in the prescribed form available below by 15th June.
Please send completed feedback forms, or address any queries, to:
